~ eEminder product enhancement which sends text message in real time when a member has a failed debit card/ATM transaction ~
HERMOSA BEACH, Calif., April XX, 2010/PRNewswire/ --
eEminder announced a new enhancement to its Real Time eAlert product suite which helps educate credit union members about overdraft protection in the face of new Reg E compliance requirements. An SMS text message is sent to the member in real time when he/she has a denied ATM or debit card transaction, informing the member of the new opt-in requirements and also offering its patent-pending “No Wait Customer Support” by which the member sends a reply text message to the eAlert and a representative from the credit union calls the member to go over Reg E and allow the member to opt in within minutes. The real time eAlert is sent even if the denial is due only to a temporary debit card hold. In that case the eAlert also displays the amount and time that the card hold expires.
“We are very excited to provide yet another application of real time interactive SMS messaging which helps credit unions to serve their members” said Tom Utsch, Chairman/CEO of eEminder. “With eEminder’s interactive real time alert technology, we can help credit union members to have more visibility into their accounts and activity and help the credit union mitigate the ramifications of Reg E.
eEminder’s Real Time eAlerts currently integrate with the Open Solutions and Summit core banking systems.
